It is an emotional occasion and at times, overwhelming. You need someone by your side who understands the culture, the significance of all the ceremonies, can be an effective mediator between the bride and groom and their families, can handle the logistics of a fast paced ( but never on time) event and tell the aunties to please not block the photographer. I gotchu. Just think of me as your older cousin- minus any of the drama.
